New Zealand's property managers gather at Auckland's Pullman: The PMC 2026, 29–31 October

MICE editorial — 02 October 2026 Auckland Tier A

The PMC 2026, New Zealand's independent property management conference, runs 29–31 October 2026 at the Pullman Hotel Auckland, with a welcome function on the 29th and two full conference days on the 30th and 31st. Run by Property Technology Ltd and co-founded by David Faulkner and Harrison Vaughan, it drew nearly 400 delegates in 2025, and the 2026 programme is capped by a Gala Dinner and Property Management Awards.

New Zealand's property management profession gets its own stage

The PMC 2026 (The Property Management Conference) returns to the Pullman Hotel in Auckland from 29 to 31 October 2026, opening with a welcome function on the evening of Thursday 29 October and running two full conference days across Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October. The event site bills it as "New Zealand's independent property management conference", built "for the industry, by the industry" (thepmc.nz).

According to its published agenda, the conference pairs a professional programme with a social spine: a Thursday-evening cocktail welcome, a full Friday of sessions and panels, the Gala Dinner and Property Management Awards that evening, and a second day of sessions closing mid-afternoon on Saturday.

Who runs it

The PMC is operated by Property Technology Ltd, named in the site's copyright footer. It was founded by David Faulkner, General Manager of Property Management at Property Brokers, together with Harrison Vaughan, Director of Tommy's Property Management, who set it up around 2020 on the view that "the property management profession needed its own platform" (Property Brokers). By the 2025 edition four conferences had been held, and the 2025 event in Auckland drew close to 400 delegates, sponsors and exhibitors over two days (Property Brokers), establishing the PMC as the sector's main annual gathering.

Who it's for and programme

The PMC is aimed at property managers, business development managers, principals and proptech innovators from across the residential property management sector. The 2026 programme, as listed on thepmc.nz, moves from people and leadership into operational craft and future-of-industry themes: Andy Reid on mentoring beyond KPIs, Hannah Gill on high-performing teams, Sarina Gibbon on winning at the Tenancy Tribunal, Sara Green on disputes, Tal Meser (Tapi) on the future of maintenance, Jodi Ford on building rent rolls, Sandy Dodson on BDM performance, and Sam Stubbs of Simplicity on build-to-rent, alongside panels on innovation, pathways and leadership and the Property Management Awards.

Venue and delegate context

The Pullman Hotel Auckland sits at the top of the CBD on the corner of Princes Street and Waterloo Quadrant, beside Albert Park and the University precinct, which places delegates within walking distance of central Auckland hotels, dining and transport. The hotel combines conference and gala-dinner space with on-site accommodation, useful for a multi-day event with an evening awards dinner, and central Auckland is roughly a 30–40 minute drive from Auckland Airport to the south. This is reported as venue context, not a recommendation.

Why it matters for NZ MICE

The PMC is a repeat, nationally focused business event anchored to an Auckland CBD hotel, with a ~400-delegate base, a two-night programme and a gala awards dinner — the kind of recurring vertical conference that reliably fills city-centre conference and accommodation capacity. Its growth from a 2020 start-up idea into an established annual fixture with its own awards shows a maturing sector event that NZ MICE operators can treat as a dependable spring-season booking.
