New Zealand's largest digital-health gathering, the Digital Health Week Conference, returns to the Due Drop Events Centre, Manukau, 18–19 November 2026, with 150+ presentations across four stages.
The Digital Health Week Conference 2026 lands at the Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau on 18–19 November 2026, bringing New Zealand's digital health sector together for what organisers Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) call the country's largest gathering of its kind. Now in its 24th year, the conference pairs a programme of more than 150 presentations across four stages with the sector's main annual networking window.
According to HiNZ, the 2026 edition is hosted by broadcaster Rachel Smalley as master of ceremonies, with keynotes spanning leadership, wellbeing and artificial intelligence. Headline speakers include Dave Letele of the BBM Programme, leadership author Ellen Joan Ford, and academyEX chief executive Frances Valentine, who delivers an AI keynote. A panel on the social determinants of health features Sir Bill English and Dame Ranjna Patel.
The conference is co-led by Health Informatics New Zealand (HiNZ) and the Digital Health Association (DHA). HiNZ describes itself as a not-for-profit and the trusted community for digital health in New Zealand, connecting the health workforce with industry, education and research, and running the eHealthNews.nz publication, CONNECT magazine, webinars and special interest groups alongside its annual conference.
HiNZ says the event is built for the entire data and digital health ecosystem: the health and disability workforce, educators, innovators, government and industry. The organiser reports the conference regularly draws more than 1,100 attendees, with delegates drawn from across healthcare, technology and government.
The conference is held at the Due Drop Events Centre at 770 Great South Road, Manukau, in South Auckland. The purpose-built events centre (formerly the Vodafone Events Centre) sits in the Manukau town centre, close to the Southern Motorway and to Manukau's rail and bus interchange, and is one of the closer major Auckland venues to Auckland Airport, roughly 15 to 20 minutes' drive to the west. Manukau and the wider South Auckland area offer hotel and serviced-apartment accommodation within a short distance of the venue.
A recurring 1,100-plus-delegate conference anchored in South Auckland is a significant fixture for the region's business-events calendar. Its scale, multi-day format and draw of national health, government and technology figures make it a notable example of a sector conference choosing a Manukau venue over the central-city convention district, and a useful reference point for the kinds of large professional gatherings the area's facilities can host.
