The CampSaver Second-Hand Motorhome & Caravan Show, New Zealand's only dedicated used-RV expo, runs 28-29 November 2026 at Claudelands Events Centre in Hamilton under organiser Classic Events.
The CampSaver Second-Hand Motorhome & Caravan Show is New Zealand's only dedicated second-hand motorhome and caravan expo, and in 2026 it runs across Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November at Claudelands Events Centre in Hamilton. The show brings together privately owned and dealer used vehicles alongside RV accessories such as satellites, outdoor furniture and kitchen gadgets, plus theatre presentations on buying a second-hand vehicle. To qualify as second-hand, an exhibited vehicle must have had at least one previous owner. Show hours are 9am to 5pm on the Saturday and 9am to 4pm on the Sunday.
The 2026 show is organised by Classic Events, which relocated the expo to Hamilton from the Great Lake Centre in Taupo. Event Manager Michele Connell, quoted on the Claudelands venue announcement, said shifting the show to Claudelands "allows us to better serve the booming RV market." The event is also listed on the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association (NZMCA) events calendar, with the Taupo NZMCA Team running the self-contained parking.
The show targets the consumer RV market: buyers looking for used motorhomes and caravans, existing owners after accessories and upgrades, and newcomers researching their first purchase. The 2025 Taupo edition drew more than 6,000 visitors and over 200 second-hand vehicles, indicating the scale of audience the event attracts. Children aged 16 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Claudelands Events Centre sits at the corner of Brooklyn Road and Heaphy Terrace in Claudelands, a 10-to-15-minute walk from Hamilton's CBD with pedestrian access via the Arena Plaza on Heaphy Terrace. On-site car parking is available (a charge may apply depending on the event), with accessible spaces on site and a downloadable parking map. Public transport options include the 14 Claudelands bus route stopping on Heaphy Terrace, and the high-frequency Orbiter and other urban routes reachable within a 10-minute walk from stops on Te Aroha Street and Peachgrove Road; taxi stands are on Heaphy Terrace, and a Flex on-demand shared-ride service runs between Claudelands and the city centre on Friday and Saturday nights. For self-contained vehicles, an Event Park & Stay option offers weekend parking with arrival windows on the Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, but no powered sites or dump stations.
As a two-day consumer exhibition anchored at a purpose-built events centre, the show demonstrates Claudelands' role in hosting large-footprint public expos in the central North Island. Its relocation from Taupo to Hamilton reflects how a major venue with CBD proximity, transport links and self-contained parking can capture a growing sector event, reinforcing Claudelands' and Hamilton's position in New Zealand's exhibition and events calendar.
