Conference venues for 650 or more delegates in Tauranga

A 650-delegate conference sits at the top of Tauranga's range, so the field narrows quickly to the city's largest multipurpose and arena-style venues rather than hotel function rooms. At this scale the deciding factors are usually the size of a single contiguous floor, ceiling height for staging and screens, and whether the venue can handle registration and catering for a crowd this size alongside the plenary.

Tauranga has grown into a credible Bay of Plenty conference base, with harbourside settings and improving accommodation, and it increasingly attracts sector gatherings that once defaulted to the main centres. The list below is generated live from our directory and ranked by theatre-style capacity, largest first. Theatre figures assume rows of seating without a stage or catering, so confirm the working capacity for your layout, especially if you need a raised stage or in-room dining.

Compare other delegate sizes on the capacities index and see every Bay of Plenty option in the venues directory. MICE keeps a single national record so regional venues are judged on the same capacity and layout data as the big-city floors.
