Altitude Tours is a Queenstown-based small-group touring and private transport operator working across the Queenstown Lakes and Fiordland regions. Its published destinations are Queenstown, Glenorchy, Central Otago, Milford Sound and Mt Cook. The company was founded in 2017 by Chris "Squid" Bradley, Nigel Hobbs and Heidi Farren, starting with two vans and a single wine tour. In 2019 it acquired the Milford Sound BBQ Bus, extending its operation into Fiordland. Since 2024 it has sat under Tourism Innovation Group, a parent company that also holds the BLACK, Fiordland Tours and Tussock Ridge brands.
Fleet and capacity. The published fleet is Mercedes Sprinter vans in four configurations: 14-seaters, 16-seaters, 16-seat glass-roof "X-clusive" Sprinters, and a 16-seat 4WD Sprinter. Vehicles are described as having leather seats, on-board TV monitors, Wi-Fi and Spotify, discreet branding and unsigned metallic silver paintwork. Luxury SUVs for couples and small parties are available through a sister company. Van seating therefore runs from 14 to 16 per vehicle; the total number of vehicles is not published.
Group and delegate capability. Altitude Tours markets directly to the conference, incentive and events sector and states it works closely with local professional conference organisers. Its conference and incentive page describes group transport for 6 to 100 guests, covering point-to-point transfers as well as tours and activities, with a downloadable C&I brochure. Private charter work is offered with door-to-door service, no set pick-up times, and itinerary building around a group's programme — useful for roadshows, site inspections and evening function movements. Off-site incentive product includes Gibbston and Central Otago wine tours, gin and craft beer tours, Glenorchy and Paradise scenic touring, Milford Sound day experiences and Mt Cook trips, several of which can be combined with helicopter or jet boat segments.
Booking and accreditation. Tours are bookable online through a Rezdy catalogue, with charter and C&I work handled by direct enquiry through the Queenstown office. The company holds Qualmark Gold, and lists a Visitor Experience Award at the 2023 New Zealand Tourism Awards, a 2021 World's Best Wine Tour title, and Tripadvisor recognition of its Milford Sound Experience among the top 20 experiences worldwide in 2025. Trade and health and safety resource pages are published for agents and planners. Wheelchair accessibility is not addressed on the site and should be confirmed directly.
For a Queenstown conference or incentive programme, Altitude Tours is one of the region's more clearly MICE-oriented operators: it publishes a dedicated C&I offering, states a group capacity range, and runs a uniform 14–16 seat Sprinter fleet suited to splitting delegates into manageable movement units.
