Johnston's Coachlines is a nationwide New Zealand coach charter operator. The company states it has been a name in New Zealand's transport industry for over 90 years, and describes itself as a leader in luxury coach transport across the country.
### What they operate
The published fleet ranges from 16 to 49 seats. It includes 49-seat and 35-seat coaches — both fitted with free Wi-Fi, USB ports, reclining seats, seatbelts, PA and TV systems, tinted panoramic windows and large luggage holds, with an onboard toilet on the 49-seater — plus a 24-seat mini coach and a 16-seat Mercedes Sprinter van for smaller transfers and local touring. All coaches carry a Euro 4 or Euro 5 emission rating. Johnston's states it has been awarded a five-star operator rating by NZTA and is an ISO certified operator.
### Where they work
Johnston's has three main depots — Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown — but states that long-haul charters are not limited to those locations and that it can take a group anywhere around New Zealand. Nationwide charter is therefore how the company covers conference and event work in centres beyond its depot cities, Wellington included.
### How event organisers use them
Four of the company's service lines are directly relevant to business events:
In practice that covers the standard business-events pattern: airport arrivals and departures, repeating delegate shuttles between accommodation and venue, and multi-day coach touring for incentive groups. Quotes are handled through a central reservations team, with an online quick-quote form for simple one-way and return movements and a longer enquiry form for more complex itineraries.
Johnston's website footer displays Tourism Industry Aotearoa, Qualmark and Business Events Industry Aotearoa marks.
