Bar Savannah is a bar, restaurant and function venue at 1b William Pickering Drive, Albany, in Auckland's North Shore business district. • Main function area — up to 400 guests, with a dance floor, stage, full AV setup and full bar service. This is the venue's largest space and is used for weddings, corporate events and large celebrations.
• Serengeti private room — an intimate private dining space for 25–30 guests, with its own entrance, an LCD TV and sound, and access to the full menu. This is the natural fit for board dinners, small corporate functions and team celebrations.
• Outdoor village with gazebos — a covered outdoor area fitted with electric heaters, capacity flexible.
• Heated courtyard — an outdoor space with a gas fire feature and electric heaters, positioned for cocktail events year-round.

### Technical and event services

The venue lists four LCD televisions and a large projector screen, a multi-zone professional sound system, a dance floor with specialised lighting, and a late licence to 3am on Friday and Saturday nights. On-site parking is described as plentiful, particularly at weekends — a genuine advantage in the Albany commercial precinct.

Charges are published rather than quoted privately: a $250 booking deposit to confirm large functions, refundable subject to conditions; a $100 private hire fee for large functions in a private area; and security at $200 per guard, payable in advance, for larger or late-night events. Entertainment, bands and DJs can be arranged at cost through the venue.

### Catering and beverage

Catering runs from platters to full meals. Published platter options include mixed savouries, seafood savouries, a sandwich platter, baked snacks, a cheese and fruit board and a combined party mix, plus a per-head BBQ package for groups of 20 or fewer. Custom menus can be built from the full restaurant menu with the events coordinator.

Bar arrangements are flexible: open bar, subsidised bar, a limited bar tab with a set ceiling, or pre-arranged drink packages at function rates. The venue notes standard Sale and Supply of Alcohol restrictions on under-18s.

### Booking

A function enquiry form is published on the venue's site with guest-number bands from 10–25 up to 201–400 and event-type categories including corporate events and Christmas functions. Restaurant reservations for groups of eight or more should be made by phone. Trading hours run Monday to Wednesday 11am–9pm, Thursday to 10pm, Friday and Saturday until late, and Sunday 11am–9pm.

For MICE organisers, Bar Savannah's value is its range: a genuine 400-capacity function room with staging and AV in a district otherwise short of large private event space, plus a 25–30 seat private dining room for smaller corporate work.
