The Champion Road Hub is a community and event venue in the heart of Whakatū, at 34 Champion Road, Richmond, and is home to Whakatū Presbyterian Church. Suited to gatherings of many sizes, the hub combines a main auditorium with flexible meeting rooms, garden areas and generous parking.
Facilities include a 160-seat auditorium with AV support, a 100-seat overflow foyer that flows well to the outdoors, both large and small meeting rooms, and a large kitchen and café space. Parking is available for 40-plus vehicles, and the venue can cater for groups of all sizes up to around 200 guests.
Meeting and event capability: With a sizeable auditorium, breakout meeting rooms, a catering-capable kitchen and outdoor garden areas, the Champion Road Hub suits conferences, seminars, concerts, workshops, weddings and community events. The combination of a large seated space plus smaller rooms makes it flexible for both plenary sessions and breakouts. Its Richmond location, ample parking and scalable spaces make it a capable Nelson venue for mid-sized meetings, conferences and functions in the Nelson–Tasman area. Bookings are handled through the church office.
