Coast Community Church

The Coast Community Church is an independent local church at 57 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu, on the Kāpiti Coast about an hour north of Wellington. Sunday services are held at 10am. Spaces available for hire

The facility is modular. The foyer, lounge, Worship Centre and youth hall can each be booked separately, or the whole venue can be taken for a single event.

• Worship Centre — the main space, seating up to a maximum of 240 people. The church describes it as suited to conferences, business meetings, weddings and funerals, and it is fitted with a large-screen projector and an audio-visual system.
• Lounge — seats up to 100 people around tables or in boardroom style, and opens out to an enclosed courtyard. The kitchen adjoins it with access via a servery window, and a large TV for AV connection plus a sound system are available.
• Foyer — a spacious area connecting all the rooms, with café tables and the option of portable tables. Useful for registration, catering breaks and informal networking.
• Youth Hall — a large multipurpose area that has previously been used as a trader area by groups hiring the facility.
• Youth Lounge — couches and chairs seating up to 20, with a large TV for audio-visual material.
• Conference Room — a boardroom that can be hired along with the kitchen for meetings of up to 10 people.
• Kitchen — a fully equipped commercial kitchen available for hire to support catering.

Suitability for meetings and events

The mix is unusually practical for a community-owned building: a 240-seat plenary room with projection, a 100-seat lounge that works for dining or breakouts, a multipurpose hall that has served as a trade area, a 10-seat boardroom, and a commercial kitchen. That covers most of what a one-day conference, AGM, training day, seminar or committee meeting needs without moving between sites.
