Grazie Ristorante & Pasticceria is an Italian restaurant at 72 High Street, Hutt Central, Lower Hutt. It is the original site of the Grazie group, which began in Lower Hutt and subsequently opened two further restaurants, in Wellington city and Queenstown.
### Ristorante
The menu covers classic and contemporary Italian cooking, built around handcrafted pasta and pizza made with house dough, alongside grill and seafood dishes. Food is prepared fresh daily.
### Pasticceria
The Lower Hutt site is the only one of the three Grazie restaurants with a pasticceria. The pastry team produces freshly made breads and sourdough, pastries and sandwiches in-house each day using traditional techniques. For a group organiser this is the venue's clearest point of difference — it can supply its own bakery items rather than buying them in.
### Events and offers
Grazie runs a daily happy hour, "La Felice Ora", across all its locations, and puts on curated seasonal events through the year including Christmas and New Year dinners. Reservations are taken online.
The group notes on its website that Grazie is not affiliated with The Sebel hotel and that Accor Plus membership benefits and cards are not accepted — worth knowing for delegates booked into nearby accommodation who might assume otherwise.
Grazie Lower Hutt holds a Google rating of 4.5.
### Group and corporate use
Grazie does not publish private dining rooms, function packages, exclusive-hire terms or seated capacities. It is best approached as a full-service restaurant that can take group bookings and seasonal set-menu events, rather than as a dedicated function venue. Its High Street location puts it within the Lower Hutt commercial centre, which makes it practical for team lunches and client dinners in the Hutt Valley. Organisers wanting a reserved area or a set menu should enquire directly.
