Greerton Hall is a community hall at 1263 Cameron Road in the heart of Greerton, Tauranga. It is operated by Bay Venues, a Tauranga City Council organisation, and is the largest of the Bay Venues community halls, able to host groups of up to 360 people.
The main hall has an open wooden floor, a recessed stage and additional annex space running along the length of the room. The wooden floor suits dancing but also configures into a range of seating layouts. The stage is fitted with dedicated stage lighting and is served by adjacent dressing rooms with bathroom facilities, which makes the hall workable for theatrical productions and performances as well as flat-floor events. On-site furniture includes 26 tables and 208 chairs.
Because the hall sits in a residential area, noise restrictions apply: bookings with music after 10pm cannot be accepted, and noise must be kept under 80 decibels inside the hall, with reasonable levels maintained outside.
Greerton Hall works best for large community and cultural events, conferences and seminars in a flat-floor or theatre layout, training days, performances, markets, club nights and private functions. It regularly hosts social events such as indoor bowls and craft markets. For organisers who need volume, a stage and a real kitchen at community-hall pricing, it is one of the more capable halls among Tauranga venues.
