Hazy Tiger is a Korean restaurant and bar at 22 Durham Street West in Auckland CBD, marked by a neon-lit tiger at the entrance. It comes from the team behind Seoul Night.
The menu is Korean fusion in a tapas style, with featured dishes including grilled meat skewers, bulgogi tacos, tteokbokki, bibimbap, salmon ceviche and a rice bean ice cream dessert. Meat-free options are available and ordering is by QR code. Drinks include handcrafted cocktails (such as a yuzu matcha and an elderflower martini), beer and soju.
The interior is spacious and club-like, with booths, high-top tables, neon features, tiger-print walls and a small dance floor area. It opens from 4pm until late and is closed Tuesdays (check current hours).
The venue has a functions page and a birthdays page, and is listed as good for groups and for entertaining clients. Capacity figures are not published, so confirm numbers and packages directly.
Well suited to lively group dinners, after-work functions and late-night socialising in the CBD.
