Mt Hutt Lodge

Mt Hutt Lodge is a small lodge on Zig Zag Road, Windwhistle, near the Rakaia Gorge in Canterbury, about an hour's drive from Christchurch. It overlooks the Rakaia River and Southern Alps, close to Mt Hutt ski field.

Accommodation comprises four self-contained one-bedroom apartments, each with a spa bath, some with mountain or river views. On-site facilities include a swimming pool, children's play equipment, and a restaurant and bar known as "A View", serving food made from local produce. Guests have free use of bicycles and access to ski storage.

The lodge's location gives easy access to skiing at Mt Hutt, jet-boating on the Rakaia River, and salmon and trout fishing in nearby lakes and streams.
