Onuku Taipari Domain Hall

Onuku Taipari Domain Hall is a New Plymouth District Council community hall on Ngamotu Road in Moturoa, set within the Onuku Taipari Domain sports park on the western side of the city. Main access and the parking area are off Ngamotu Road, to the east of the playing fields.

Space and facilities

The hall has a maximum capacity of 250. Alongside the main hall there is a supper room, a kitchen, and tables and chairs available with the hire. The supper room gives you a second, smaller room — useful for catering, registration or a breakout — without booking a separate venue.

Booking

Hire is arranged through New Plymouth District Council's venue hire service, with council halls charged at an hourly rate. Hirers need public liability insurance, or can arrange cover through the council for a small premium.

Suitability for meetings and events

This is a straightforward, good-value community hall rather than a purpose-built conference venue. With 250 capacity, on-site parking and a kitchen and supper room, it handles club and society AGMs, community and consultation meetings, training days, workshops, seminars and staff functions where catering is brought in. There is no AV listed, so bring your own screen, projector and sound. Its position within a sports park also makes it a practical base for tournaments, sports-club prizegivings and team gatherings.
