Papamoa Community Centre is a modern meeting and function facility at 15 Gravatt Road, Papamoa, in the Tauranga district. It is housed within Papamoa Library and sits in the suburb's growing shopping precinct. The centre is operated by Bay Venues, a Tauranga City Council organisation that manages 24 community facilities across Tauranga Moana, so it is professionally run rather than volunteer-managed — a meaningful distinction for anyone booking a business meeting or a multi-day programme.

### Spaces

The centre offers seven meeting rooms, with the venue's overall capacity listed at 250 standing. The rooms are named for sea creatures — Tōhorā, Aihe, Mako, Tamure, Tarakihi and Pātiki — alongside an atrium space, and they range widely in size. Published floor areas include Aihe at 93 square metres and Tamure at 29 square metres, and a floor plan is available from the venue.

Bay Venues describes the smallest spaces as best suited to one-on-ones, interviews, counselling and health services, while the largest rooms are typically used for workshops, recreation and group training. Several rooms open onto patio areas, which work well as breakout space or for guests to get outside over lunch. Some rooms have lino flooring and large mirrors suited to dance and exercise classes.

### Facilities

The venue holds 30 tables and 250 chairs, and has one kitchen plus a kitchenette on site for self-service catering. Private or in-house catering can be arranged instead. Listed amenities include air conditioning, AV equipment, a projector, projector screen by arrangement, TV screen, whiteboards, wi-fi, accessible toilets and wheelchair access. A range of media and AV equipment is available by arrangement. There are 18 car parks on site, though the surrounding shopping precinct offers additional parking.

BYO alcohol is possible subject to an application form, approval and a possible bond. Bonds are generally not required for regular user groups, casual daily bookings, or evening and weekend bookings assessed as low risk.

### Meetings and events

The combination of seven differently sized rooms, installed AV, whiteboards, wi-fi and both catering options makes Papamoa Community Centre well suited to the everyday end of the MICE market: training courses, workshops, seminars, board and committee meetings, interviews, AGMs, community consultations and small conferences that need concurrent breakouts. The patio areas and the range of room sizes mean a single organiser can run a plenary plus several parallel sessions on one site.

The shared location with Papamoa Library makes it a busy, family-friendly building, with children's playgroups, art and drama sessions and wellness classes running through the week. Justice of the Peace services operate at the centre on Monday evenings and Wednesday mornings.

### Booking

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, with weekend, after-hours and public holiday bookings available on request.
