About

About Riccarton Park Function Centre

Riccarton Park Function Centre sits on the western edge of Christchurch at the city's historic racecourse, combining modern conference facilities with heritage function spaces and expansive grounds. It is a versatile venue for conferences, company dinners, cocktail parties, weddings and other events.

Spaces & capacity

The centre offers around seven different spaces catering for roughly 40 to 600 people, with conferences able to start from as few as 10 delegates. The modern Club Grandstand features 17 rooms across three levels, with WiFi throughout, large exhibition areas and views over the grounds. The Show Gate suits social functions of up to about 300 for seated dining or 400 for a cocktail reception. The Tea House, a restored Edwardian building dating from 1903, provides a distinctive garden setting to the west of the grandstand, well suited to smaller wedding and celebration groups.

Suitability & amenities

With multiple configurable rooms, substantial exhibition space and parking for well over 1,000 vehicles, Riccarton Park is suited to conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, meetings and weddings. Its blend of contemporary and heritage spaces on a single expansive site gives organisers flexibility across event types and sizes. See more Christchurch venues.
