Te Puia is a geothermal and cultural attraction at Hemo Road, Tihiotonga, on the edge of Rotorua's Whakarewarewa valley. Its geyser field is described by the operator as one of only two in the world that remain in their natural state, and the site is also home to the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute, a Kiwi conservation centre and the Āhua Gallery of crafts and taonga.
Daytime visits include guided exploration of the valley with Kaiarahi (cultural guides). In the evening, the Geyser By Night experience runs as a booked, guided programme starting at 6:45 pm. On-site dining includes the Pātaka Kai restaurant, which offers a lunch menu with a Saturday hāngī buffet and Sunday brunch, and the Wheelhouse Cafe.
Te Puia is a recognised option for groups seeking a distinctly Aotearoa cultural experience, whether as a dinner or dine-around venue, an incentive activity or a welcome for delegates. Specific event spaces, capacities and catering options should be confirmed directly with the venue or through Rotorua's convention bureau, as they were not detailed on the pages we reviewed.
