The Bistro is a family-owned, family-run restaurant at 17 Tamamutu Street, Taupō, describing its style as "Kiwi Style Dining".
Food and style. Menus are seasonal and based on locally sourced produce. Dishes named on its website include sous vide calamari, crackled pork belly, a wild rabbit and chicken liver terrine and a Tahitian vanilla crème brûlée. Dinner, degustation, group and drinks menus are available. The restaurant says it aims to offer dining at prices locals and visitors can afford, and it retained two hats in the Cuisine Good Food Guide.
Hours. Wednesday to Sunday, 5pm to 9pm, with online table booking.
