The Cloud

About The Cloud

The Cloud is an events venue on Auckland's waterfront at Queens Wharf, beside Shed 10 on Quay Street. It was built as a temporary fan zone for the 2011 Rugby World Cup and has since remained as a permanent venue. The name refers to Aotearoa, the Land of the Long White Cloud. It is managed by Auckland Conventions.

### Spaces and capacities

• Exhibition Floor: a pillarless floor of 2,697 square metres, spanning nearly 180 metres, hosting up to 2,000 cocktail guests, 1,750 banquet guests or up to 107 exhibition stands.
• Lower Mezzanine (228 square metres, 2.8 m ceiling): glass doors open to the wharf with harbour views; 100 guests in theatre, banquet or cocktail style.
• Upper Mezzanine (444 square metres): floor-to-ceiling windows, built-in bar, outdoor deck and wooden floors; 230 cocktail or 190 banquet guests.

### Location

The Cloud is next to the ferry terminal and opposite the Britomart Transport Centre, within walking distance of CBD hotels, shops and restaurants. Parking for event organisers is limited; public car parks are nearby.
