The Turangi Senior Citizens Hall is a community venue in McLaren Park on Ohuanga Road, Tūrangi, in the southern Taupō district. It was donated to Taupō District Council by the Tongariro Senior Hall Trust for use as a community hall, and is available for hire for meetings, gatherings and functions.
The hall seats up to around 150 people and has a fully functioning kitchen with appliances for catering, making it suitable for larger community events, celebrations, meetings and seminars. A no-smoking policy applies, with music required to finish by 11.30pm and the premises vacated by midnight; a bond applies to cover cleaning and any damage.
With its larger capacity and catering kitchen, the hall is one of the more sizeable community spaces in Tūrangi, well suited to conferences, AGMs, community meetings and social functions. Bookings are handled through Taupō District Council. For other options in the district, see Taupō venues.
