The University of Otago Events Hub, listed at 362 Leith Street, Dunedin, is associated with the university's Marketing Events team, which is based in the Clocktower Building in Dunedin and also has staff at the Christchurch and Wellington campuses.
The team provides event support from initial concept and feasibility through to on-the-day management and post-event evaluation. This covers planning, budgeting, stakeholder management and logistics such as venue, catering, equipment and invitations. For smaller events it offers advice, templates, planning tools and equipment hire.
The service is focused on University-owned events aligned with institutional goals. It does not manage association-hosted events or external events held on campus, although an Event Planning Toolkit for External Events is available. The team also works with Tourism New Zealand and Enterprise Dunedin on a Conference Assistance Programme for international conference bids.
