SIP Distilling Co.

SIP Distilling Co. is a craft distillery in Takapuna, on Auckland's North Shore, producing small-batch gin, vodka, rum and cocktails. Alongside its production and retail operation, it runs hands-on workshops and hosts private events inside the working distillery.

Workshops

• Gin Making Workshop — a three to four hour interactive session in which participants design and craft their own gin from start to finish, with a behind-the-scenes look at the distilling process. No prior experience is required.
• Gin Blending Workshop — a shorter two to three hour session focused on blending a bespoke gin to individual taste.
• Tasting experiences are also offered.

Corporate and event use

SIP markets its workshops for corporate team building, and its private events for team celebrations, client entertainment, end-of-year functions, staff rewards and networking. The distillery also offers custom branded bottles — which is a practical option for conference gifting or an incentive takeaway, since each participant can leave with a bottle carrying the group's branding.

For meetings and events organisers, this covers a useful middle ground: an activity with genuine substance and a working production setting, an indoor and weather-independent format, and a tangible product at the end. The three-to-four hour gin making session is long enough to anchor an afternoon of a conference programme, while the blending workshop fits a shorter slot.
