Event Force

About this place

Event Force is a temporary power specialist based in Upper Hutt, servicing Wellington and the wider region. The business supplies diesel generator rental, emergency backup power and complete temporary power solutions, and states its team has extensive experience delivering temporary power for live events in New Zealand and internationally.

### What they supply

Services listed by the company include:

• Generator rental — from compact portable units through to large synchronised generator fleets exceeding 1MVA
• Cable and distribution rental and sales — distribution boards, cabling and associated gear
• Generator maintenance
• Load bank rental
• Diesel fuel tank rental
• Emergency and backup power solutions

### Temporary electrical installations

Event Force positions itself as a specialist in temporary electrical installations for major events and live music performances, and states that all installations meet AS/NZS standards. That compliance framing matters for MICE work, where venues, councils and insurers generally require certified temporary electrical work before a site can be signed off.

### Relevance to conferences and corporate events

Any function held away from mains capacity — a marquee gala dinner, an outdoor incentive activity, a car park or waterfront activation, a conference village, or a festival-style staff event — needs distributed, reliable power for staging, AV, lighting, catering and comms. Event Force covers that from setup through pack-down, including the scaling headroom to run large synchronised sets where a single unit will not do. Backup and emergency power is also offered, which is relevant where an event has a single point of failure it cannot afford (live broadcast, keynote AV, cold chain catering).
