Green Jersey Explorer Tours is a cycle hire and guided touring operator based at 16 Kitchener Street, Martinborough, in the Wairarapa. It began in 2011 hiring bikes from a roadside trailer and now runs both same-day hire around the Martinborough wine village and multi-day guided tours across the lower North Island.
### Bike hire in Martinborough
The hire fleet is unusually broad and is the main reason the operator works for groups. Alongside standard step-through wine bikes, e-bikes, mountain bikes, e-assist mountain bikes and gravel bikes, Green Jersey runs tandems, tricycles, cargo bikes, Christiania bikes, an electric rickshaw seating three, and multi-rider "Croc" bikes in two-, four- and six-seat configurations. The stand-out for business groups is the Cobi, a circular seven-seat conference bike — riders face each other and pedal together, which makes it a genuine novelty for team activity or a photo moment. Hires run from 9.30am until closing on the same day, with multi-day hire on request. Every hire includes roadside assistance and a complimentary wine collection service, so purchases made at cellar doors are delivered back at the end of the ride. Bike racks are available for hire.
### Guided and self-guided tours
Guided tours range from a one-day Cape Palliser ride taking in the Putangirua Pinnacles, the North Island's largest fur seal colony and Cape Palliser Lighthouse, through two- and three-day versions, to a six-day Remutaka, Palliser and Tora tour that includes a pōwhiri at Kohunui Marae, private farm tracks and coastal riding. The six-day Remutaka Cycle Trail Great Ride starts and finishes in Wellington. Longer trips extend to the East Cape and a four-day Whanganui–Manawatū itinerary. Private shuttles between Wellington, the Remutaka trail and Martinborough are also offered.

### Suitability for business events
Green Jersey is well suited to incentive programmes, pre- and post-conference touring out of Wellington, and half-day team activity built around Martinborough's cellar doors. The mix of e-bikes, trikes and multi-seat bikes means mixed-fitness groups can all take part, and the seven-seat conference bike is a ready-made talking point for a corporate group.
