MGI Worldwide's 2026 Global AGM heads to Auckland's Park Hyatt

MICE editorial — 28 September 2026 Auckland Tier A

MGI Worldwide, a global accounting network of 8,800+ professionals, holds its 2026 Global AGM at the Park Hyatt Auckland from 21–24 October 2026, themed 'Growth, Leadership and Change'.

MGI Worldwide, a leading global accounting network and association representing more than 8,800 professionals across independent member firms, holds its 2026 Global AGM in Auckland from 21 to 24 October 2026 at the Park Hyatt Auckland. Registration is open, and the programme is built around the theme "Growth, Leadership and Change," opening with a keynote from the All Blacks' Darren Shand.

Who runs it

The event is organised by MGI Worldwide, an international network of independent accounting and audit firms operating across eight regions: Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East & North Africa, North America, and the UK & Ireland. The Auckland edition is hosted by Dan Henderson, Chair of MGI Australasia and CEO of MGI+MORE in Auckland. The Global AGM is the network's flagship annual gathering, rotating between host cities each year, with the 2025 edition held in Cape Town.

Who it's for

The AGM is open to partners, managers and staff from MGI member firms across the global network. It centres on relationship-building, knowledge-sharing and professional development, combining formal sessions and keynote presentations with structured networking and two optional post-conference tour programmes.

The venue

The conference is held at the Park Hyatt Auckland, a waterfront property in the city's Wynyard Quarter on Auckland's harbour. The organiser highlights Auckland's harbours, dining scene, wineries and outdoor attractions, encouraging delegates to extend their stay.

Why it matters for NZ MICE

A multi-day international association AGM drawing member-firm delegates from across MGI's eight global regions places Auckland on the calendar for a genuinely worldwide professional-services audience. Anchoring the event at a five-star harbourside hotel, pairing the business programme with pre- and post-conference touring, and featuring a high-profile New Zealand keynote speaker underlines Auckland's positioning as a host city for globally distributed association meetings.
