Park Hyatt Auckland

Park Hyatt Auckland is a five-star hotel on Halsey Street in the Wynyard Quarter, on the edge of the Viaduct Harbour and within walking distance of Auckland's CBD, Sky Tower and Viaduct precinct. Opened in 2020, it is Hyatt's only Park Hyatt-branded property in New Zealand.

The hotel has 195 rooms and suites, the majority with private balconies overlooking either the Viaduct Lighter Basin, the city skyline or the Waitematā Harbour. Suite categories include the Harbour Suite, the Park Suite (two interconnecting rooms sleeping up to five) and the top-floor Presidential Suite with its own outdoor garden and furnished balcony.

For meetings and events, Park Hyatt Auckland offers seven dedicated spaces served by HD projection, LCD screen systems and video conferencing. The largest is the Harbour Room, 326 square metres, which can be divided into three sections and holds up to 360 guests for a cocktail reception, making it a substantial conference or gala option. The Residence (228 sqm, up to 200 guests) has a private pre-function area and open show kitchen, while the Waka Rooftop (195 sqm, up to 200 guests) offers wraparound harbour and city views for cocktail functions. Smaller spaces include the Boathouse (153 sqm, up to 100 guests) with fireplace and outdoor terrace, the Boardroom (69 sqm, up to 50) with its own terrace, and the Loft Kitchen (84 sqm, up to 50) for culinary-themed events. The Ceremonial Garden, bookable alongside the Harbour Room, adds further pre-function and exhibition space. With 195 guest rooms on site, the property can comfortably support residential conferences and incentive groups end to end.

Dining options include Onemata, the hotel's signature restaurant showcasing New Zealand produce; the all-day Living Room; Pantry; and Captain's Bar for cocktails and wine. Guests have access to a 25-metre infinity pool overlooking the Lighter Basin, a 24-hour fitness centre, and The Spa, which includes a steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. Secure on-site valet parking is available for an additional charge.

Given its waterfront location, extensive event floor and on-site accommodation, Park Hyatt Auckland is well suited to corporate conferences, incentive programmes and executive stays requiring a five-star base close to Auckland's CBD.
