International No-Dig comes to New Zealand for the first time: NZICC, 28–29 October 2026

MICE editorial — 30 September 2026 Auckland Tier A

International No-Dig Auckland 2026 — the global flagship conference and trade exhibition of the trenchless-technology sector — runs 28–29 October at the New Zealand International Convention Centre. It is the first time the event has been held in New Zealand, hosted by Prime Creative Media with the ISTT and local society ASTT.

International No-Dig Auckland 2026

International No-Dig Auckland 2026 is a technical conference and co-located trade exhibition for the trenchless-technology industry, confirmed for 28–29 October 2026 (10am–5pm daily) at the New Zealand International Convention Centre in central Auckland. The NZICC events listing describes it as "an exhibition and technical conference for the trenchless technology industry," bringing together engineers, researchers, contractors and asset owners from the water, sewerage, gas, electricity and telecommunications sectors.

Who runs it

The event is managed by Prime Creative Media in partnership with the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT), with the Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology (ASTT) as local host. International No-Dig is ISTT's global flagship conference, and per Trenchless Australasia this is the first time it has been held in New Zealand, with the previous Australasian edition hosted in Sydney in 2013. ASTT President Ben Crosby described it as "a fantastic opportunity to promote and showcase the vibrant trenchless technology community in the Australasian region, particularly in New Zealand, to the rest of the world."

Who it's for and programme

The programme (per the official no-dignz.com site) spans multiple technical streams covering new installation, rehabilitation and emerging technologies, alongside case studies from New Zealand and Australasia, two conference stages with keynote sessions, and training courses. A co-located Equipment Showcase presents machinery and tools from exhibitors, and the event culminates in an Awards Gala recognising industry achievement. It targets a specialist international and Australasian audience of infrastructure engineers, utility asset owners, contractors and researchers.

Venue and delegate context

The confirmed venue is the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) at 101 Hobson Street, Auckland Central, with the aggregator listing the Ariki Hall space. NZICC sits in the Auckland CBD, roughly 20–25 km from Auckland International Airport and within walking distance of the SkyCity precinct and a large concentration of central-city hotels, which supports the accommodation and delegate movement needs of an international conference-and-expo audience.

Why it matters for NZ MICE

As the first New Zealand staging of ISTT's flagship International No-Dig conference and exhibition, held at the country's largest purpose-built convention centre, this is a significant international business-events win for Auckland — a multi-day, dual-format (conference plus trade expo) gathering that draws overseas delegates and exhibitors into the NZICC and the wider CBD.
