REINZ's 2026 Annual General Meeting: a hybrid governance fixture in Auckland

MICE editorial — 22 October 2026 Auckland Tier B

REINZ's 2026 Annual General Meeting is confirmed on its official site for Friday 27 November 2026, a members-only hybrid meeting held online and in person at REINZ's Auckland office in Grafton.

The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) has confirmed its 2026 Annual General Meeting for Friday, 27 November 2026, with members able to attend online or in person at REINZ's Auckland office. Registration is open via REINZ's AGM and Annual Report page, and the meeting follows the organisation's standard members-only governance format rather than a public conference programme.

Who runs it

REINZ runs the AGM. On its own site REINZ describes itself as a membership-based organisation "exclusively dedicated to serving its members," providing training, tools, advocacy, eForms, statistics, education and events to real estate professionals. REINZ notes it is not the regulator of the profession and does not handle general public complaints. Ahead of the AGM, voting for the Region 1 Regional Director runs from 29 October to 9 November, with the result announced at the meeting, and the 2025 AGM minutes are confirmed there.

Who it's for

The AGM is for REINZ members. The notice refers to members attending and voting but sets out no eligibility criteria beyond membership, and it is a governance meeting rather than a ticketed industry event open to the general public.

The venue and logistics

The in-person option is held at REINZ's Auckland office. Per REINZ's contact page, that office is at Level 3, 155 Khyber Pass Road, Grafton, Auckland 1023. Grafton sits immediately south-east of the Auckland CBD, close to the Khyber Pass Road arterial and within reach of central-city public transport; members who prefer not to travel can join online. This logistics detail is factual context only.

Why it matters for New Zealand MICE

As a short, members-only hybrid governance meeting rather than a multi-day conference, the REINZ AGM is a minor entry in the New Zealand business-events calendar. Its relevance is as a recurring, confirmed fixture for a significant national membership body in the real estate sector, and as an example of the hybrid (online plus in-person) format now standard for association AGMs.
