ASHA's 2026 conference is in Brisbane, not Dunedin — the Otago listing is a location error

MICE editorial — 23 September 2026 Dunedin Tier C

The Australasian Society for Historical Archaeology (ASHA) Conference 2026 is a real event, but the organiser confirms it is held in Brisbane (University of Queensland), 21–22 August 2026 — not at the University of Otago in Dunedin as the directory recorded.

A directory listing recorded the Australasian Society for Historical Archaeology (ASHA) Conference 2026 at the University of Otago in Dunedin. The conference is real, but ASHA's own official page confirms it takes place at The Atrium, University of Queensland, in Brisbane on 21–22 August 2026 under the theme "Finding Common Ground" — not in New Zealand. The Dunedin/Otago venue and the October date on the listing are errors, and this is an Australian event outside the NZ MICE calendar. Held as a correction brief.
