Audiovisual and event production companies serving Rotorua, for sound, vision, lighting, staging and livestreaming.
Rotorua runs on events. Between the geothermal resort hotels, the Energy Events Centre, and a deep bench of marae and lakeside venues, the city hosts conferences, incentives and gala dinners year-round — and every one of them needs sound, vision and staging that works first time. This page brings together the AV and event production companies that serve Rotorua and the central Bay of Plenty, so you can brief the right partner early rather than scrambling in production week.
AV is the line item most likely to make or break a general session. The companies listed range from DJ and basic PA hire through to full-service production houses handling LED walls, vision mixing, lighting design, webcast and show-calling. Rotorua's larger conference hotels have in-house rigs that suit straightforward meetings, but for anything with a stage programme, multiple breakouts or a livestream you will usually want an independent production partner who can scope the room, supply operators and build in redundancy. Use the list as a shortlist, then confirm current showreels, insurance and crewing with each operator before you commit.

They supply and operate the sound, vision, lighting and staging — microphones and PA, projection or LED screens, stage sets, lighting rigs, vision mixing and increasingly livestreaming. Larger firms also provide a show caller and technical crew for the full event.
In-house AV is convenient and fine for simple meetings. For multi-day programmes, main-stage production, several breakout rooms or a webcast, an independent production company usually offers more capability and control — just confirm any venue rules about bringing in external crew.
For peak months and large productions, brief your AV partner as soon as the venue and dates are locked, often three to six months out. Simple meeting AV can often be arranged with a few weeks' notice, subject to gear and crew availability.
Many can. Capability varies, so ask specifically about encoding, platform experience, internet redundancy and whether a dedicated streaming operator is included.
