Event equipment & marquee hire companies in Queenstown

Queenstown and Central Otago stage some of New Zealand's most photographed events — marquee dinners on vineyard lawns, lakeside gala nights, and mountain-backdrop celebrations — and almost all of them depend on equipment and marquee hire. Structures, flooring, furniture, heating and styling have to be trucked into a compact alpine region and installed on sites that range from manicured lawns to exposed high-country settings.

The ranked list below is generated live from the MICE directory and shows real equipment and marquee hire companies operating across the Queenstown and Wanaka area. Stock and specialties vary, so use this as a shortlist and confirm availability, delivery and installation directly with each supplier. Ask about wind ratings and weather contingencies, how far they travel across Central Otago, and whether quotes cover delivery, set-up and pack-down. Compare the wider market in the equipment hire directory.

Brief clearly: give the site, guest numbers, the look you want and your access and timing. Alpine and rural sites often need generators, flooring and robust anchoring, so raise ground conditions and power early — they shape both the equipment list and the price.
