The New Zealand Food & Grocery Council brings its biggest annual FMCG gathering to QT Queenstown from 4–6 November 2026, convening the manufacturers and suppliers behind the country's food, beverage and grocery brands for its flagship three-day conference.
The New Zealand Food & Grocery Council (NZFGC) will hold its 2026 Annual Conference at QT Queenstown from 4 to 6 November 2026, with proceedings opening at 4:00pm on Wednesday 4 November and closing at 1:00pm on Friday 6 November. The Council describes it as its biggest annual FMCG event, the flagship on a calendar that also includes member meetings each May.
The conference is run by the NZFGC, the industry association that represents the manufacturers, suppliers and supporters behind New Zealand's food, beverage and grocery brands. According to the Council, the sector it speaks for generates more than NZ$40 billion in domestic retail sales and NZ$34 billion in exports to 195 countries, and food and beverage manufacturing is the country's largest manufacturing sector. The NZFGC is Wellington-based, led by Chief Executive Raewyn Bleakley and governed by a Board of Management, and works across advocacy, nutrition, supply chain and sustainability through a set of member working groups.
The event is aimed at members and professionals across the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry — the brand owners, suppliers and partners who sit behind New Zealand's supermarket shelves. Registration is handled through the EventsAir platform, and the Council has opened sponsorship and exhibitor enquiries. A detailed programme, theme and speaker line-up had not yet been published on the official event page at the time of writing.
QT Queenstown sits on Lake Esplanade on the shore of Lake Wakatipu, a boutique lakeside hotel with 69 guest rooms and a small cluster of meeting spaces. As context for delegates travelling in, Queenstown Airport at Frankton is roughly 7 km from the property, and the hotel is within the main Queenstown resort area close to the town centre and lakefront. Queenstown's compact scale means the conference hotel, accommodation and the airport all sit within a short drive of one another.
Queenstown is one of New Zealand's premier business-events destinations, and anchoring a national industry conference there underlines the resort town's pull for sector-defining gatherings. For the MICE market, the NZFGC conference is a recurring, nationally significant fixture that brings a concentrated, high-value delegate audience — the leadership of a major manufacturing sector — into the lower South Island each November.
