The PodiatryNZ 2026 Conference runs 6–8 August 2026 at Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, hosted by Podiatry New Zealand for podiatrists, researchers and students with CPD-accredited sessions, pre-conference masterclasses and a conference dinner.
Podiatry New Zealand will hold its 2026 annual conference from 6 to 8 August 2026 at the Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, drawing the country's foot-health profession to Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington for three days of learning, networking and continuing professional development.
The conference is hosted by PodiatryNZ, the national professional body for podiatrists in New Zealand. Conference management is handled by its partner Composition, which manages registration and delegate enquiries. The event is backed by principal sponsor Allcare, alongside partners including Formthotics, ASICS, Shoe Clinic and SEPA. The Podiatrists Board of New Zealand, the profession's independent regulator, has confirmed it will take part in a scheduled prescribing panel discussion during the programme.
The programme is aimed at podiatrists, researchers and students, and is structured to deliver CPD points across the three days. Thursday 6 August opens with pre-conference masterclasses and an evening welcome function; Friday 7 August is a full day of conferencing capped by the conference dinner; and Saturday 8 August continues sessions through to the close of the day. The published programme spans clinical practice, biomechanics, foot health, innovation, workshops and submitted abstracts.
Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, which opened in 2023 opposite Te Papa on the city waterfront, is Wellington's purpose-built conference and exhibition facility and gives the event a central-city base within walking distance of the harbour, hotels and hospitality. As context for attending delegates, Wellington is compact and highly walkable, with the waterfront precinct placing accommodation, dining and the venue close together; Wellington Airport sits about eight kilometres from the CBD with regular domestic connections, and the conference site lists a dedicated accommodation page for delegates.
A national medical and scientific congress anchoring in Tākina reinforces Wellington's positioning as a business-events destination for professional and healthcare associations. Recurring association conferences of this kind deliver reliable mid-winter delegate spend across the capital's venue, accommodation and hospitality sectors and demonstrate the drawing power of the city's newest convention infrastructure.
