Amalfi Motor Lodge

About this place

Amalfi Motor Lodge is an 18-unit motel at 68 Main South Road, Sockburn, in south-western Christchurch. It trades within the ASURE Accommodation Group network. The Main South Road position puts it on the main arterial route in and out of the city from the south, close to the Christchurch Southern Motorway and a short drive from the airport.

### The offer

All 18 units are fully self-contained and serviced, in studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom configurations, each with kitchen and ensuite facilities. Units are double glazed, and 16 of the 18 have spa baths. In-room amenities include free unlimited WiFi and 50-plus SKY Guest Select channels. Breakfast options are available.

Shared facilities include guest laundry, ample on-site parking, and a barbecue courtyard area. The lodge also provides EV charging and cycle storage with a wash-down area, which is a useful detail for cycle-touring groups and for delegates travelling by electric vehicle.

### Location

The property is about 8 km from Christchurch International Airport and roughly ten minutes from the city centre, the railway station, Addington and Riccarton racecourses, the University of Canterbury and Westfield Riccarton. Supermarkets and food outlets are within about a kilometre.

### Meetings and events

No dedicated conference or meeting rooms are published for this property. It is an accommodation-led listing.

### Suitability

Amalfi Motor Lodge functions as a delegate accommodation option rather than a venue. At 18 units it suits smaller conference room blocks, training cohorts, crew and contractor accommodation, and touring or cycling groups, particularly where road access, easy parking and self-contained units matter. Its proximity to the airport and the Addington event precinct makes it a workable overflow or budget-tier option within a wider Christchurch conference accommodation plan.
