Bella Vista Motel Mosgiel is a motel at 85 Gordon Road in Mosgiel, the Taieri Plains town about 15 minutes' drive from central Dunedin and 10 minutes from Dunedin Airport. It sits within walking distance of the Mosgiel town centre's shops, cafés and restaurants.
The property is part of the nationwide Bella Vista chain and holds a Qualmark 4-star rating with a Silver Sustainable Tourism Business endorsement. It offers 18 self-contained units across compact queen studios, superior studios, twin/triple studios and one-bedroom executive units, with a choice of king, queen or single beds and electric blankets. Units include ensuite bathrooms, and most have kitchenette or full cooking facilities, a refrigerator, microwave and flat-screen TV; the compact studios have tea/coffee and toast-making facilities only, with no kitchen sink. Free unlimited WiFi, onsite parking at each unit door, a guest laundry, wheelchair-access units, a guest BBQ and a Type 2 EV charger (pre-booking required) round out the facilities. Evening meal charge-back is available for guests who wish to dine out and settle the bill through the motel.
The motel markets itself to both business and leisure travellers, noting it caters "for all your business or recreational needs," and its Gordon Road location keeps it close to Mosgiel's own venues, including J Tee's Golf and Function Centre nearby. There is no on-site conference or function room at the motel itself.
For meeting or event organisers, Bella Vista Motel Mosgiel works well as overnight accommodation for individual delegates, crew or smaller groups attending business in Mosgiel, or as a quieter, airport-convenient base outside central Dunedin with easy access to both the city and the Taieri Plains.
