Bonnie Knights Motel is a single-level motel on Quarry Road in Mosgiel, the Taieri Plain township on Dunedin's western edge. The motel describes itself as about 14 km from Dunedin Airport and roughly a ten-minute drive from Dunedin itself, with State Highway 1 close at hand. That combination — airport on one side, city on the other — is the practical reason most business guests choose Mosgiel over the CBD.
Accommodation runs across six unit types, all on the ground floor. The studio (32 m²) has a queen bed and sleeps two; the twin studio adds a single bed for three guests, and one of these is configured as an accessible unit. The executive suite is king-bedded, and a spa executive suite adds a spa bath. For longer or shared stays there is a one-bedroom unit sleeping four (42 m², queen plus two singles) and a two-storey, two-bedroom unit sleeping six (64 m²) with a full kitchen and oven. Standard units have kitchenettes with a fridge, microwave, hotplate and dining essentials, tea and coffee, and a flat-screen TV carrying SKY 50+ Guest Select channels. All rooms are non-smoking.
On-site facilities are free Wi-Fi, complimentary off-street parking, guest laundry and a children's playground.
The motel publishes corporate rates for business guests, and notes flexible booking terms and chargeback dining at a licensed restaurant and bar a short distance down the road — genuinely useful for contractors and project teams on multi-night stays. There is no conference or meeting room on the property, so Bonnie Knights works as accommodation rather than as a venue: a base for individual delegates, contractors and small groups attending events in Mosgiel or central Dunedin, or for anyone with an early flight out of Dunedin Airport. Organisers running a programme in the city may prefer to look at other Dunedin accommodation closer to the CBD and pair Mosgiel with it for overflow.
