Centennial Events Centre, Napier

The Centennial Events Centre (also known as the Rodney Green Centennial Events Centre) is a large multi-purpose venue at 32 Latham Street, Napier South, adjacent to McLean Park. It has operated as part of Napier's sporting and events infrastructure since 1959, and is managed by Napier City Council as one of the city's venues for hire.

### Facilities

The centre offers a substantial floor area of around 1,390m² with a ceiling height of close to 11 metres, giving it the scale to accommodate large-format events. On-site facilities include a commercial kitchen, a dining room, meeting rooms and conference lounges, allowing it to support both catered functions and smaller breakout meetings within the same complex.

### Event capability

The venue is used for a wide range of events, including large-scale banquets, trade shows, expos, balls, sporting events and concerts, as well as conference dinners. Its adjacency to McLean Park adds further scope for combined indoor/outdoor event programming.

### Suitability for MICE

With its large clear-span floor, commercial catering kitchen and separate meeting spaces, the Centennial Events Centre is well suited to conferences, trade shows, banquets and large gala dinners in Napier, particularly events that need both a big open floor and adjoining function rooms.
