Corinthian Convention Centre operates from within the Invercargill Working Men's Club at 154 Esk Street, in the Invercargill CBD. The venue comprises three dedicated lounges and a separate Boardroom, which can be hired individually or combined, and its own site states it can cater for gatherings ranging from as few as 2 people up to 1,000 when all three lounges are combined into a single triple-lounge function.
The smallest space, the Boardroom, is used for meetings and interviews, while the three lounges scale up to larger dinners, conferences and receptions. Catering is provided in-house, with meals and refreshments served directly in the hired room so that guests do not need to move between spaces during an event. The venue lists suitability for AGMs, seminars, presentations, trade shows, conferences, graduations and weddings, among other event types, and offers free room hire for fundraising events.
As part of a members' club rather than a purpose-built commercial convention centre, Corinthian Convention Centre is a modestly scaled but flexible venue for Southland-based meetings, seminars and functions. It suits small to mid-sized corporate meetings and community or association events looking for a central Invercargill location with combinable function rooms and on-site catering, rather than large international conferences or exhibitions.
