Flames on Forty Restaurant

Flames on Forty is the licensed restaurant and bar at The Hotel Nelson, 40 Waimea Road, Nelson. It serves breakfast and dinner and has an outdoor area, and it is open to hotel guests and the public.

The hotel

The Hotel Nelson has 78 air-conditioned rooms, ranging from studio units to apartments of up to four bedrooms. On-site facilities include a heated swimming pool, a barbecue area and complimentary WiFi. The hotel is about a seven-minute walk from the city centre and roughly ten minutes by car from Nelson Airport and Tahunanui Beach.

Meetings and events

The hotel's conference centre sits at the back of the complex, away from the main road, with complimentary parking. It has four rooms:

• Brougham Room: up to 80 theatre-style or 60 banquet-style, with natural light and blackout blinds.
• Fairfield Room: up to 70 theatre-style, 50 banquet or 25 in U-shape or classroom layouts.
• Kawai Room: up to 40 theatre-style, with bar set-up.
• Bronte Room: a small meeting room for up to 12.

Catering is prepared by the restaurant's chefs and can be pre-ordered for meetings, seminars, training, workshops and social functions.
