The Fred Tucker Memorial Community Centre is a council-owned hall complex at 130 Parklands Avenue in Bell Block, on the eastern side of New Plymouth. It is owned and managed by New Plymouth District Council and is used regularly by local clubs, charities and not-for-profits as well as for private hire.

There are four hireable spaces. The main hall is 175m² with a stage at one end and a maximum capacity of 185 people. A 55m² lounge adjoins the hall and is separated by doors, so it can be used on its own or opened up to extend the main space. The meeting room is 73m² and takes up to 50 people. There is also an 85m² sunroom, a brighter and less formal room suited to workshops and casual sessions.

Facilities include kitchen facilities, tables and chairs, a piano, wheelchair facilities and coin-operated heating. Parking is available on site, including accessible parking, and there are toilets. The council listing does not include in-house audio-visual equipment, so presenters should plan to bring their own screen, projector and sound.

For business events this is a practical, low-cost option rather than a conference venue. The meeting room suits committee meetings, small training sessions and workshops for up to 50 people. The hall, with its stage, handles AGMs, community seminars, awards evenings, information or trade days and larger presentations. Using the hall together with the adjoining lounge gives you a plenary room plus a catering or breakout space, which is a useful arrangement for a full-day workshop. Bell Block is close to New Plymouth Airport, which is convenient for groups flying in for a single day.
