The Hampstead Sports Club is a multi-code sports club in the Hampstead and Netherby area of Ashburton, Mid Canterbury. It traces its origins to the Hampstead Rugby Football Club, founded in 1925, and today brings together rugby, netball, hockey, softball and bowls across sites at Bridge Street and Cambridge Street, offering sport for all ages.
Alongside its sporting facilities and clubrooms, the club has a hall available for hire, with a kitchen and wheelchair access. This makes it suitable for community meetings, social functions, celebrations, club events and other gatherings in Ashburton. Hire is arranged directly with the club through its hall-hire request process.
As a sports club with function space rather than a dedicated conference centre, Hampstead Sports Club is best suited to community meetings, private functions and social events. For other options in the district, see Ashburton venues.
