Hemsworth Estate is a restored Edwardian villa at 356 Beach Road East, Elgin, near Ashburton, set among established, centennial-planted trees and surrounded by country gardens and an orchard. The estate is home to New Zealand's first Hampshire Sheep Stud and has been restored with a focus on luxury accommodation and heritage character. It is run by fourth-generation family members Rebecca and Jema, with Rebecca having grown up on the property.

### What it offers

Hemsworth Estate combines bed-and-breakfast style accommodation ('Stay') with a private-events and function business. It regularly hosts High Tea sittings, private events such as milestone occasions and end-of-year functions, and weddings and elopements in its gardens, alongside seasonal themed events (garden parties, regency-style balls and similar).
