About Our Lady's Home of Compassion

Our Lady's Home of Compassion is a retreat and conference centre run by the Sisters of Compassion in Island Bay, Wellington. It is tucked into the hills of Island Bay and is shaped by prayer, service and manaakitanga (hospitality). The property record lists 24 rooms.

Retreats and groups

The centre offers themed Te Pūaroha retreats year-round, individual retreats and group retreats. Groups welcomed include faith communities, workplace retreats, spiritual formation days and other reflective or values-based gatherings aligned with the Compassion community. Te Pūaroha retreats are offered by koha, with a suggested $60 per day including accommodation and meals.
