Hooper's Lodge is a rural lodge at 120 Hooper's Inlet Road on the Otago Peninsula, roughly 25 minutes' drive from central Dunedin. The property sits on around 100 acres of peninsula farmland and is a purpose-built, architecturally designed house looking out over Harbour Cone, Hoopers Inlet and the open coast.
### Accommodation
Guest accommodation is a self-contained two-bedroom wing known as 'The Bothy', fully separated from the main house with its own entrance and a large private deck. It has an open-plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second is configured with one or two single beds; both have built-in wardrobes. The bathroom includes a roll-top claw-foot bath and a shower.
### Setting and wildlife
The inlet setting means seals and sea lions are regularly visible from the deck, and wading birds including spoonbills feed nearby. The lodge is positioned for access to Otago Peninsula attractions such as Larnach Castle and the Royal Albatross Centre, and is also promoted as a base for visitors attending events in Dunedin.
### Suitability for business and event travel
Hooper's Lodge is a single self-contained guest wing, not a conference property, and no meeting or function facilities are advertised. It is best suited to individual delegates, visiting speakers, or a small group of two to four people wanting a quiet rural base near the city, and to incentive or retreat itineraries built around Otago Peninsula wildlife rather than meeting rooms.
