Inglewood Library and Service Centre is at 46 Rata Street in Inglewood and forms part of the Puke Ariki network of museums and libraries operated by New Plymouth District Council. Alongside the library collection it functions as an NPDC service centre, handling council transactions for residents of the Inglewood area.
Puke Ariki lists Inglewood Library as having a room available for hire, described as a space suited to meetings, workshops or gatherings. The room is available during library opening hours, so it works for daytime meetings, training sessions, small workshops and community group bookings rather than evening functions. Capacity, room configuration and hire charges are not published online — enquiries go through Puke Ariki on 06 759 6060.
The library occupies Inglewood's Municipal and Library building, which dates from 1924, giving the venue a heritage character unusual for a small-town library. Free internet, wi-fi and public computers are available, and 30 minutes of free car parking is provided outside. The library also runs community events, exhibitions and holiday programmes through the year. Opening hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 5pm, and Wednesday and Friday 9am to 6pm.
This is a council community facility rather than a commercial function venue. There is no in-house catering or audiovisual production service, so organisers should expect to supply their own refreshments and equipment. It is a sensible, low-cost option for groups needing a neutral meeting space in Inglewood, roughly midway between New Plymouth and the eastern Taranaki settlements.
