The International Antarctic Centre is a visitor attraction at 38 Orchard Road, Christchurch, close to Christchurch Airport. It combines Antarctic-themed experiences with meeting and function facilities.
Experiences include Penguin Rescue, the Hagglund Field Trip (Hagglund vehicle rides), the Storm Experience, Generation Antarctica, a 4D Theatre and the Antarctic Gallery. Two-hour Antarctic Guided Tours are also offered. The same group operates Willowbank Wildlife Reserve and Waka on Avon in Christchurch. The homepage showed opening hours of 9:00am to 4:30pm.
The website lists Meeting Rooms and Functions & Events, along with Christmas parties and Breakfast With The Penguins.
