Jenny's Bed & Breakfast is a small, owner-hosted bed and breakfast at 105 Mangati Road, Bell Block, on the northern approach to New Plymouth. Guests stay in the host's own home, and the operation is run personally by Jenny Thompson.

### Rooms and facilities

There are two guest rooms, each with its own ensuite. One has a queen bed; the other has two single beds, one of which is a king single. Both rooms include a desk and chair, a heater and electric blankets, and the house is described by the operator as highly insulated for warmth in winter. Free unlimited wi-fi over ultra-fast broadband is provided, and each room and ensuite is serviced daily.

A continental breakfast is included in the room rate, with the option of a poached egg. A breakfast menu is given to guests on arrival so they can choose their own food, served at a time that suits them. Homemade marmalade, home-grown rhubarb, hot porridge and free-range eggs feature on the menu, and home baking is available with tea and coffee.

### Location

Bell Block sits on the northern side of New Plymouth. The host notes that New Plymouth Airport is about a five-minute drive north, the New Plymouth CBD is around 10km away, and Waitara is about ten minutes by car. The Coastal Walkway now extends to Bell Block and passes within roughly 400 metres of the property. A range of restaurants is within 2km, and the host offers local advice on where to eat and what to see.

### Meetings and events

This is a two-room private home, not a function venue, and no meeting or event spaces are advertised. Its relevance to business travel is practical rather than programmatic: proximity to New Plymouth Airport, a desk in each room, reliable broadband, and GST invoices available on request. Bookings are taken directly through the SmartGMS platform with a 10% credit card deposit, with the balance payable on departure or by prior bank transfer.

### Suitability

Best suited to individual business travellers, consultants on short assignments and couples who prefer a quiet residential base near the airport. With only two rooms it cannot host a group, but it can sit alongside larger New Plymouth venues as overflow accommodation for one or two delegates.
