Lillies is a restaurant at 495 St Asaph Street, Phillipstown, Christchurch. According to Cuisine magazine, it is run from a warehouse in an industrial part of the city by Will Lyons-Bowman and Liam Kelleher, who also produce Vita and Lele wines and Lilli Cider. Chef Finbar McCarthy, formerly head chef at Gatherings, leads the kitchen. Cuisine described the concept as a cidermaker, a winemaker and a chef under one roof.
The menu at the time of the Cuisine review was split into "Pizza" and "Not Pizza", cooked around an open bar with a pizza oven. Dishes noted included a carrot pizza, charred corn with bacon and raw blue moki, with soft-serve ice cream for dessert. The drinks list focuses on wine and cider by the glass, including the owners' own Vita Bianco frizzante and Lilli Cider. The interior has green walls and minimal signage.
The venue's website lists dinner from 5pm to 9pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and Saturday lunch from 12pm to 3pm. It offers table bookings and gift vouchers, and can be contacted at hello@lillies.co.
Neither the website nor the review we found states whether Lillies takes private functions or large group bookings. Event planners should contact the venue directly. Menu details above come from a review and may have changed since publication.
