Pavilion Beachfront Apartments is a boutique apartment complex at 4 Marine Parade, Main Beach, Mount Maunganui. The Mount main surf beach sits directly in front of the building. The hosts are Mike and Gail Fagan, and reception operates 24 hours, seven days.
All accommodation is fully self-contained, which makes the property well suited to longer stays and to groups who want independence rather than serviced-hotel routine.
Five configurations are listed, all self-contained and air-conditioned with full kitchen and laundry facilities, a balcony, and a 42-inch flat-screen TV with satellite channels and DVD player:
Apartment fit-out includes queen or king beds, ensuites, some with foldout sofa beds, air conditioning / heat pumps, full kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven and hob, 42-inch TV with Sky digital TV (over 60 channels), DVD and stereo, minibar, private balconies or courtyards, secure Wi-Fi, and full laundry.
Mauao (Mount Maunganui), the natural saltwater hot pools, the corner dairy and the city shuttle bus stop are all within a two-minute walk. The Mount main shopping centre is a five-minute walk, and Tauranga Airport is roughly a 10-minute drive. The beach in front of the complex is patrolled in summer by Bay of Plenty Surf Life Saving Association volunteer lifeguards from October through March.
The property does not publish dedicated conference or meeting facilities, and should be treated as accommodation rather than a venue. Its relevance to the MICE sector is as delegate and incentive accommodation supporting events held elsewhere in Mount Maunganui or Tauranga.
The combination of large floor plates (102–150 m²), multi-bedroom layouts, full kitchens and laundries, secure parking and lift access makes it a workable option for incentive groups, small executive retreats, project teams on extended assignment, and delegates travelling with family. The three-bedroom oceanview apartments in particular suit small groups sharing. The beachfront position, walkable café and restaurant strip, hot pools and Mauao tracks give an incentive programme plenty of nearby content without transport.
Organisers needing formal meeting space, catering or AV would pair Pavilion with a dedicated conference venue among Bay of Plenty venues. Groups should confirm minimum stay requirements and group booking terms directly with the hosts, particularly over the summer peak when the Mount is busiest.
