Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport is a 311-room, five-star hotel at Auckland Airport, described as New Zealand's only premium five-star airport hotel. It stands roughly a one-minute walk from the international terminal and a short walk from the domestic terminal, making it geared toward transit stays as well as airport-adjacent business events.

History

The hotel opened in December 2023 after around four years of construction. It is a 50:50 joint venture between Tainui Group Holdings and Auckland Airport, and its design carries extensive Maori cultural elements created by artist Renata Te Wiata of Turangawaewae Marae, expressed through patterns in aluminium, stone, wall fabric, glass and timber across the building.

Meetings & Events

The hotel offers state-of-the-art meeting rooms and fully equipped boardrooms with high-speed internet, HDMI/wireless-enabled screens, soundproofing and floor-to-ceiling natural light, with dividable spaces to suit different group sizes. Named spaces include Toorea, a board-meeting and workshop room for up to 10 guests with elevated views, which can combine with the adjoining Kootare room for workshops of up to 16. The proximity to the terminal - literally steps away - makes it a practical option for time-pressed corporate travellers and short business meetings either side of a flight, as well as small executive gatherings, though its meeting spaces are boardroom-scale rather than large-conference or ballroom format.

Dining & Facilities

Te Kaahu, the hotel's signature restaurant and bar on level nine, has full-height windows looking over the Manukau Harbour and the airport runways, and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and children's meals. An executive lounge on the top floor offers an elevated outlook for eligible guests. The hotel has a fitness centre; it does not have a swimming pool. Valet parking is available for a daily charge, with the forecourt reserved for pick-up and drop-off only; an off-site transfer zone for shuttles sits a five-to-seven-minute walk behind the hotel.

Given its unique adjacency to the terminal, Maori-inspired design and boardroom-style meeting spaces, Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport suits corporate travellers, small executive meetings and events where minimising transfer time to and from flights is the priority, rather than large residential conferences.
